It's a twist. No one knew Suzy would let go of her position like this.
The hot star that's overpowering Suzy at the moment is Seolhyun from the group AOA. She sings well, acts well and has even taken over the advertisement market, maybe even exceeding Suzy.
Suzy was born in 1994 and debuted in 2010. Two years later, she was being awarded for movies, singing and even entertainment. Seolhyun was born in 1995 and debuted in 2012, much later than Suzy. While Suzy was getting the spotlight at the peak of her career, Seolhyun was just a trainee.
How did this twist of events come to be? The two are currently at war to become queens so we take a look at Suzy's countermeasure and Seolhyun's efforts.

That's where the money rolls; as soon as the stars image goes down, so does the sales and likewise the other way around.
Seolhyun came in first in a Smart Uniform Competition in 2010. She's been on all the ads. Thanks to her, AOA's commercial number was statistically the highest in June while Miss A came in 8th place.
Numbers aside, the brand power has more meaning to it.
SK Telecom Luna smartphone featuring Seolhyun made a big hit. She appears to be sexy in skinny jeans and that caused a big hit. Fans want the ad poster and every telecommunication branch is in demand of them.
SK is very happy with the reaction and plan to release more series with Seolhyun. If a brand like this has her back, Seolhyun's value goes up higher.
Meanwhile, Seolhyun's current situation reminds everyone of Jeon Ji-hyeon a long time ago. She was the sexiest commercial queen of her time.
